Before you register, you can review an event’s prices at each deadline without starting a registration.
Read the Rates and Deadlines Table
- Open Rates & Deadlines from the event's navigation banner if the event is on your association's main Portal, or from the location your association chose on the event's own website.
- Find your registration type in the Registration Type & Package column. If that type includes more than one package, each package appears below it.
- Read across to the deadline that applies today. If the event does not use deadlines, read the last column, which is usually headed Regular unless your association renamed it.
Result
You see each package’s price at each registration deadline, plus the final price after all deadlines pass.
A late-registration price only applies while that deadline is the active tier. After that deadline passes, Rhythm charges the next deadline’s price, or the final price in the last column after every deadline has passed.
Warning
This table shows a package’s regular price and deadline prices. If your association uses Special Pricing for a package, that Special Pricing amount does not appear here. Instead, you may see the package’s plain base price, including $0.00 if that is the price on file while the real charge is calculated separately. If a price looks wrong for that reason, check with your association rather than assuming the page is broken.
The last column is usually headed Regular, though your association can rename it. Whatever it is called, that column still appears when the event does not use deadlines, and it cannot be hidden.
Tip
This table lists every registration type and package your association makes available for purchase in the Portal. An association cannot keep a specific type or package available for online purchase while hiding its price from this page. If a type is missing here, it is also not offered for portal purchase, and vice versa.
Member and Non-Member Pricing
When a package has separate member pricing, its cell shows two amounts: the member price first, then the non-member price marked with an asterisk. The note at the top of the page, * Indicates pricing for non-members, explains the asterisk. If a package has only one price, everyone pays that amount regardless of membership.
Tip
The table shows both prices side by side so you can compare them before you register. Rhythm decides your actual charge during registration, when it knows whether you are a member. The amount also depends on which registration deadline is active when you register, not only on your membership. If the price you expect is not the one you see, check whether the deadline you had in mind has already passed.
Warning
You cannot confirm from this page alone whether member pricing is being honored for you. To test it, sign in as a real member account, or a test account that qualifies for membership, and go through registration. The price shown while you are signed out or signed in as a non-member does not tell you what a member would pay.
Seeing Prices in Your Own Currency
If your association offers registration in more than one currency, changing your currency anywhere on the Portal updates this table with converted prices. When a price is set as a fixed amount in a foreign currency, that fixed amount appears in the final column. Deadline columns for the same package are converted from the base currency at the current exchange rate, so deadline prices and the final price can be calculated slightly differently in a foreign-currency view. If your association has not set up the currency you want to use, prices appear in the event's base currency instead.
Because deadline prices use the current exchange rate, the converted amount can change if you leave this page and come back later, even when the registration package itself has not changed.
Tip
If a converted price on this table differs from what you are charged during registration, the amount shown in the registration flow or your cart is the amount you will actually pay. To check a package’s pricing yourself, set your currency, start registering or open your cart, and compare that amount with the package’s price in its base currency using a current exchange-rate reference.
Add-Ons and Extras
Many events also sell add-on products in addition to registration packages. Your association groups these under the add-on types it named, such as merchandise or parking. You will see these options while you register, and they are priced the same way as your registration package. See Register for an Event in the Portal to choose them, and Register for and View Your Function Tickets for tickets to dinners and other functions.
Event function prices, such as prices for a dinner or reception, are not added to this table automatically. If your association wants a function’s price shown here alongside registration pricing, they add that text to the page themselves.
If You Can't Load the Page
If the rates table does not load, the event usually has not been fully set up for registration yet. Contact your association if the problem continues. For an event on your association's main Portal, you may need to sign in before you can see this page. For an event's own website, your association decides whether the page is open to everyone.
