Before an event, attendees often want to know who is presenting. Use the event’s speakers page to browse the speaker list, open a speaker’s profile, read their biography, and see the sessions they are presenting.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- The organization running the event decides where the speakers page appears on the event website. Look for a link from the event schedule or home page, often labeled something like "Speakers."
Browse the Speaker Grid
- Open the event's speakers page.
Result
You’ll see every speaker at this event in a grid with their photo and name.
Tip
If the event does not have any speakers listed yet, the page shows an empty grid without an explanation. If you expected to see speakers, the organization may not have added them yet.
Tip
The grid shows each speaker's photo and name only. The organization cannot add a speaker's organization under their name on this grid through page styling alone.
The grid includes every speaker at the event. You cannot search or filter it by name, topic, or featured status, so scan the full grid instead of looking for a search box.
Open a Speaker's Page
- On the speaker grid, select a speaker's photo or name.
Result
The speaker’s page shows their name, photo, organization, job title, and biography. It also includes a table of the sessions they present at this event, with each session’s date and time, name, and room, plus a link to that session’s page.
Tip
If a speaker is not linked to any session at this event, their page says so instead of showing an empty table.
Warning
Selecting a speaker opens their page only when the microsite's View Speaker page has the parameters it needs. If a speaker link does nothing when you select it, ask the organization to check that page's setup on the event's microsite.
The organization running the event, or the speaker themselves, writes the biography, which can include formatting such as links or paragraph breaks. Select a session in the table to open that session’s page, where you can read the full description and other details.
If It Fails
- "Unable to load speakers." Reload the page and try again.
- "Unable to load speaker." The link you followed may be out of date, or the speaker record may no longer be available. Go back to the speaker grid and open it again from there.
- A speaker you expect to see presenting a session isn't listed on either page. The sessions table shows only sessions where this exact speaker record is listed. If they are presenting under a different speaker record for this event, check the schedule directly instead.
