Common Tasks
- Apply a Coupon to a Processed Order
Add a coupon code to an order after it has already been paid, and refund or credit the difference at the prices the customer actually paid.
- Update, Close, or Void an Order
Correct an order's billing or shipping details after it is placed, mark an order closed when it will never finish on its own, or void an order and its invoices and payments.
- Cancel Order Lines
Cancel some or all of the remaining, unshipped quantity on one or more of an order's lines, choose a refund or store credit for the money already paid, and understand what happens to an event registration package's fees and add-ons.
- Issue a Refund or Credit for a Cancellation or Return
When you cancel or return part of a paid order, choose whether the money goes back to the original payment or stays with the customer as store credit, and understand what Orders & Inventory does automatically once you choose.
- Create or Edit a Coupon Code
Create a coupon code by hand for a coupon, decide who may use it and how often, and change any of those settings later.
- Report on Orders & Inventory Data in the Query Center
Open the Orders & Inventory Query Center and build a report from one of its query types, including a Purchases report broken out by one merchandise item's own variant and modifier options.
