If you review abstracts for an event, you do that work in the Portal Review Center. If your committee also oversees a review process, the same page shows an administration view where you can monitor the round. This article explains that administration view.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- Sign in to the Portal with an account linked to a contact record.
- To be recognized as a review administrator, you must hold a position on a committee that a review process names as one of its administrators. If you do not, the Review Center shows only your own assigned reviews.
Every signed-in Portal member who reviews abstracts uses the same Review Center page, but your committee memberships determine what you see. Reviewers without an administrative committee position see only their assigned reviews under My Reviews. If you also hold an administrative position on a review process, you see the Admin panel described below along with your own reviews.
Tip
The Abstract Page Layout your association configured affects only the Reviewer view, not the Admin panel. If you hold both roles and need to see the fields from that layout, switch to Reviewer mode; the Admin view cannot be configured to match it.
Check Whether You're an Administrator
- Open the Review Center.
Result
If you administer at least one review process, an Admin panel appears above My Reviews and shows every abstract in each process’s currently open round. If you do not administer any process, you see only My Reviews, which lists the reviews assigned to you.
Follow Your Round's Abstracts and Scores
- In the Admin panel, check the statistics across the top: Abstracts Submitted, Completed Reviews, Open Rounds, and Pending Reviews.
- Below the statistics, review each process card. Each card shows its currently open round, the abstracts in that round, and each abstract’s average and total score.
Result
For each abstract, you can see its status and the number of reviews received so far.
Warning
Only a process with exactly one round currently open appears here. If a process you administer does not appear, check whether it has more than one open round or no open rounds at all.
See Who's Reviewing an Abstract
- In the Admin panel, find the abstract you want to check and select the number of reviews it shows.
Result
A Reviews Assigned list opens with each reviewer assigned to this abstract, their status, and their score. Use this list to check one reviewer’s work on a specific abstract. There is no separate tool for filtering the whole round to a single reviewer.
Tip
You can see every committee member's assigned reviews, scores, and status because your review process has Abstract Review Administrators turned on for your committee. Without that setting, you would only see your own reviews.
If It Fails
- "There was an error" toast. Reload the Review Center and try again.
- A process you administer doesn't show up in the Admin panel. Check whether the process currently has exactly one open round. A process with no open rounds, or with more than one open at the same time, does not appear here.
- The Admin panel doesn't appear at all. Confirm that you hold a position on a committee that at least one review process names as an administrator. If you believe you should be an administrator and still do not see the panel, check with the person who manages review processes for this event.
