If an event includes a published virtual floor plan, you can open it in the Portal to review the exhibit hall layout and find where a company is exhibiting.
Prerequisites
- Your association must have published a floor plan for attendees to view.
View the Floor Plan
- Open the event's floor plan page from the link your association provides.
- If the event has more than one show floor, choose the show floor you want to browse.
- Review the drawing to see how booths are arranged in the hall.
- Use the filters to narrow the plan by exhibitor or exhibitor category, so you can find a specific company or type of exhibitor.
Result
The floor plan shows the booths that match your filter, so you can quickly find where a particular exhibitor is set up.
If you do not see the exhibitor you are looking for, first confirm that you chose the correct show floor when the event has more than one. Then confirm that the exhibitor has been assigned a booth, because not every exhibitor listed for an event has a place on the plan yet.
Attendees Can't Move or Change Booths
The floor plan in the Portal is for finding your way around, not for making changes. Attendees cannot use the staff tools that add, move, or resize booths, labels, or shapes, so the plan is read-only. Your association's event staff maintain the floor plan and booth assignments separately in the Console.
The Same Filters, for Staff
Event staff viewing the floor plan in the Console can use the same type of filters to narrow the drawing by exhibitor or category. This makes a large hall easier to search from the staff side. Staff also see the full plan, including the editing tools that attendees do not have.
