An employer organization’s available job postings show how many jobs it can still post. You can view that balance on the organization record, along with the organization’s current job postings. You can also update the balance manually when you need to fix a mistake, give a goodwill posting, or add a starting balance before the organization makes a purchase.
Prerequisites
- Find and open the employer’s organization record first. See Edit an Organization's Details for help finding and opening an organization.
View an Employer's Balance and Postings
- Open the employer organization’s record.
- Find the
Available Postingstile near the top of the record. - Choose the
Job Postingstab to review the organization’s postings, including each post date, expiration date, and status.
Result
The tile shows the organization’s current available postings. If the organization has never had a Career Center package, it does not have an employer profile yet, so the tile reads 0.
An unused available posting does not have its own expiration date. It stays available until someone uses it to post a job, and there is no setting to give it an expiration date before that happens.
Warning
The balance is the saved number on the employer profile. Rhythm does not recalculate it from orders or postings each time you open the record. If a purchase was just completed, allow a little time for Rhythm to credit it; see How a Package Purchase Becomes Employer Access.
Check this balance first when a job posting fails, or before you escalate a posting failure to Support. A balance of 0 often explains why the posting was refused.
Correct an Employer's Balance by Hand
- On the employer’s organization record, choose
Edit Employer Profile. - In the
Employer Profiledialog, enter the number ofAvailable Job Postings:the organization should have. - Choose
Save Changes.
Result
The dialog closes, and the balance on the record updates to the number you entered.
This field sets the balance to exactly the number you type. It does not add to or subtract from the current balance, and it does not ask for a reason. If the organization has never had an employer profile before, saving this dialog creates one for the first time and ties it to that organization record. Each organization can have only one employer profile.
The number must be zero or higher, so you cannot enter a negative balance here. Only the balance is editable in this dialog, so nothing else about the employer profile changes when you use it.
Why You Can't Delete an Organization That Has an Employer Profile
You cannot delete an organization while it still has an employer profile, because that profile stores its available postings and resume bank access. If you need to delete an employer organization, remove its employer profile first. The Careers Console does not have a screen for that, so you must remove it through the API. See Change an Organization's Status or Type, or Delete It for everything else that can block an organization’s deletion.
