Careers staff can review a member’s resumes from the member’s contact record, or search across all resumes in your account. This article covers both options and explains what the resume dates mean.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- You need Careers Console access. If you can open a contact record, you can see and download that contact’s resumes.
See a Member's Resumes from Their Contact Record
- Open the member’s contact record.
- Select the Resumes tab. When the member has resumes, the tab label shows the number in parentheses.
Result
You see a table with each resume, a link to open the document, and the date the resume was added.
Warning
Each row on this tab shows the member’s name, not the resume’s title. If the member has more than one resume, use the added date to tell them apart.
Download a Resume's Document
- From the Resumes tab, select the resume’s link.
Result
The document opens in a new browser tab, while the contact record stays open behind it. Most Word files download, and most PDFs open in the browser.
Search Resumes Across the Account
If you do not know which contact owns a resume, or you want to search everyone at once, search by the job seeker’s name or the resume identifier.
- Open the Resumes page directly. It is not linked from the Career Center menu.
- Search by the job seeker’s name or by a resume’s identifier.
Result
Matching resumes are listed by the job seeker’s name.
Warning
When you select a search result, it opens as though it were a job posting, not a resume. This page does not distinguish between those two record types when you follow a link from it. Use the result to confirm which job seeker has the matching resume, then open the resume from the member’s contact record as described above.
Understanding the Dates on a Resume
Each resume keeps the same record history used across Rhythm, including who added it, who last changed it, and when those actions happened.
Tip
To see who created or last changed a specific resume and exactly when, select the record identifier’s "#" icon on the Resumes tab and choose Audit Logs. See Audit History: What Is Recorded and How to View It for how to read the log.
If It Fails
- A member's resume can't be opened. The document link may not have resolved yet. Wait a moment and try the Resumes tab again, or reload the contact’s page.
- A resume you expect isn't listed on the contact record. The member’s name may not have been copied onto it correctly. Try the account-wide search instead. If it still does not appear, the resume may need to be resaved.
