Each job application a job seeker submits is saved on their contact record. To see the jobs one contact has applied for, open the contact record and use the Job Applications tab.
Prerequisites
- You need to be signed in to the Console with the Careers feature available.
- Open the contact's record first. See Review a Contact's 360 Page for help searching for and opening a contact.
View a Contact's Applications
- Open the contact's record.
- Choose the
Job Applicationstab. - Select a posting's name to open that job posting.
Result
The tab lists every application the contact has made, oldest first. Each row shows the date they applied and the posting they applied to. Selecting a posting's name opens that job posting record.
If the contact has never applied to a job, the tab shows This contact has no job posting applications on file. instead of a list.
The tab appears on the same record as Contact Details and Resumes, so you can review a job seeker's resumes and applications without leaving the page.
Tip
The tab shows only the first page of a contact's applications, so a contact with a long application history may have more applications than you see here. Unlike the Resumes tab beside it, the Job Applications tab does not show how many applications the contact has.
About the Application Date
An application is dated when it is recorded. If an application is created directly instead of through the ordinary apply process, Rhythm keeps the date supplied with it. Because of that, this kind of application can show a date earlier or later than when it was actually recorded.
Why You Can't Delete a Posting or a Contact with Applications on It
You cannot delete a job posting or contact while an application still names it, as long as that application was saved through the normal application process. If a job posting or contact will not delete after you have removed everything else that seems to reference it, an application is often the reason.
The Careers Console does not provide a way to remove a contact's or posting's applications for this purpose. This rule never affects job boards: deleting a job board never blocks, and is never blocked by, the applications made through it.
