When you apply for a job from a job board, you choose which resume to include with your application. Rhythm may preselect a resume for you based on your last choice in the same browser.

Before You Begin

Prerequisites

  • You need at least one resume on file. If you have not added one yet, see Add, Edit, and Delete a Resume.

Choose a Resume

  1. On the job posting's application form, open Select a Resume:.
  2. Choose the resume you want to send.
  3. Continue with Apply to Job.

Result

Your application is recorded with the resume you chose.

Tip

This list only shows your own resumes. Even if you act on someone else's behalf elsewhere in Rhythm, you cannot choose or send their resume from this picker.

Why a Resume Is Sometimes Already Chosen

Rhythm remembers the resume you last selected in the browser you used, then preselects it the next time you apply for a job. This saves you a step when you usually use the same resume for applications.

Warning

The browser remembers the resume choice, not your personal profile. If you share a computer or use a public device, check the preselected resume before you apply. It could be from someone else's earlier visit, or it could be one of your resumes that you have since deleted.

To use a different resume, open the picker and select the one you want. Rhythm remembers that new choice going forward in the same browser.

How This Keeps Your Application Accurate

Before Rhythm sends your application to the employer, it confirms that the selected resume is one of yours. Even if an old or unexpected value is preselected, only a resume you can actually use is included with the application. If the picker shows nothing selected and you are not sure why, open it and choose a resume from the current list instead of trying to force a specific value.

If It Fails

  • "You must have at least one resume on file to apply for this job. Please add a resume before continuing." You have no resumes yet. See Add, Edit, and Delete a Resume to add one, then return to the job posting to apply.
