Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Informz, and ActiveCampaign each connect to Rhythm from their own Integrations screen. This article explains what those connections have in common, including where to find them, how to turn one off without deleting it, and how to remove one you no longer use. For platform-specific fields and authorization steps, use the connection article for that platform.

Prerequisites

Your Rhythm account must be entitled to the marketing platform you want to connect. If it is not, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Where to Find It

Go to System & Security › Integrations, then open the card for your platform:

Platform Screen
Mailchimp MailChimp
Campaign Monitor Campaign Monitor
Informz Higher Logic Informz
ActiveCampaign Active Campaign

Each screen lists the connections your account already has for that platform. Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, and ActiveCampaign let you connect more than one account. Informz uses the same list layout, but after your account has one Informz connection, the option to create another is hidden.

Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Informz, and ActiveCampaign are the native email marketing integrations Rhythm supports. If you use another platform, such as HubSpot, Rhythm does not offer a native connection for it.

Switching a Connection Off

Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, and ActiveCampaign connections include a switch that turns the connection off without removing it. You can turn it back on later from the same screen. Informz does not include this switch, so you cannot pause an Informz connection from the Console; you can only remove it.

Warning

When you edit a Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor connection in the Console, saving always turns it back on, even if you previously switched it off through the API. If a connection needs to stay off, do not open and save its Console form.

Removing a Connection

Open the platform’s list screen, then use the row’s delete action to remove a connection your association no longer uses. Removal is permanent, and there is no undo in the Console. To recover the deleted settings, you would need to check your account’s audit history rather than reverse the deletion here. Removing a connection is the only reliable way to stop it, because the active switch, where available, does not remove the connection from consideration.

Integrated Queries Can Block Removal

If a saved query delivers results to a marketing connection, you cannot remove that connection until you remove the integrated queries that reference it. This also applies when you replace one email marketing integration with another: the old connection cannot be removed until every integrated query tied to it is gone, and those references are not always easy to find by browsing. If deletion fails for a connection you believe is unused, check your integrated queries for one that still points to it, or contact Support for help locating it.

Permissions

You must be signed in to your account’s Console to reach, save, or remove a marketing connection. No more specific permission is documented beyond account membership. Anyone signed in to your account’s Console can see these connections, including any stored key or credential shown on the list or form, so manage access to Integrations carefully.

Validation and Errors

What you see Cause Fix
The save fails after you connect or edit a Mailchimp or Informz connection, and your account is not entitled Your account’s entitlement does not include this platform Contact your Customer Success Manager; see A Marketing Connection Will Not Save for what each message means
The save is refused as out of date Someone else saved a change to the same connection after you opened it Reopen the connection to see the latest version, then make your change again
A connection you removed the entitlement for still appears on the list and still seems active Removing entitlement does not remove or pause existing connections Remove the connection yourself if you want it to stop, rather than relying on the entitlement change
A field's type changed upstream, but your Campaign Monitor query or export still shows the old type The connection has not picked up the change yet Refresh the Campaign Monitor connection and download the file again first. Recreating the query is not usually necessary; only try that if refreshing does not show the change
