The eShow connection brings exhibitor booth purchases from eShow into Rhythm as exhibitor registrations for one of your events. You choose the contact type, role, and badge allowance those exhibitors receive.

Prerequisites

  • An eShow token issued for your show.
  • The event, registration type, registration process, registration package, and show floor already set up in Events.
  • Exhibitor contact types, contact roles, and a coupon type for exhibitor badges already set up.
  • Access to System & Security in the Console. This connection does not require a separate permission.

Connect eShow

  1. Go to System & Security › Integrations, then choose the eShow card.
  2. Enter an account name and the eShow token for your show.
  3. Choose Event Name: for the event that will receive the exhibitor registrations. After you choose an event, Rhythm loads that event’s registration types, processes, packages, and floors.
  4. Choose Exhibitor Registration Type:, Exhibitor Registration Process:, Exhibitor Registration Package:, and Exhibitor Floor Type: for the registration exhibitors receive.
  5. Choose Exhibitor Coupon Type: for the badge coupon, then set the number of badges allocated per block of booth square footage.
  6. Turn on Enable Connection: when you are ready for the connection to run.
  7. Choose Save Changes.

Result

Rhythm saves the connection.

First-Time Setup and the Primary Contact Role

Exhibitor Primary Contact Role: is required, but its choices do not load on a brand-new connection because Rhythm fetches your contact roles only after you save a connection with an event. If you are setting up eShow for the first time and cannot select a value here, contact Rhythm support to complete this step.

Choosing a Different Event Clears Your Rules

When you change Event Name: on a saved connection, Rhythm clears the registration type, process, package, coupon type, and floor type you selected. You will need to set all five again for the new event. To avoid that change, cancel the page without saving.

Choose Booth Contact Details

Under Exhibitor Contact Type: and Exhibitor Primary Contact Role:, choose how Rhythm classifies each booth’s primary contact when it pulls eShow’s exhibitor list. Both fields are required before you can save the connection.

Set the Badge Allowance

The two numbers next to each other, badges and booth square feet, control how many badges a booth of that size receives. For example, 2 badges per 100 square feet gives a 200-square-foot booth 4 badges. Set both numbers to a meaningful ratio for your event; leaving either number at zero leaves the allowance undefined.

Settings

Setting Options Default Effect
Account name Text, optional Empty A name for the connection; not required
eShow token Text, required Empty The token eShow issued for your show
Event Name: One event, required None chosen The event exhibitors are registered into; changing it clears the five choices below
Exhibitor Registration Type:, Exhibitor Registration Process:, Exhibitor Registration Package:, Exhibitor Floor Type: One each, all required, from the chosen event None chosen Together, these set the registration a pulled exhibitor receives
Exhibitor Coupon Type: One coupon type, required None chosen The badge coupon added to exhibitor registrations
Exhibitor Contact Type: One contact type, required None chosen The contact type given to each booth’s primary contact
Exhibitor Primary Contact Role: One contact role, required None chosen; loads only once a connection with an event already exists The role given to each booth’s primary contact
Badge allotment Two numbers 0 and 0 Badges granted per block of booth square footage
Enable Connection: On or off Off Whether the connection is active
Test company key Text, optional Empty While set, only that eShow company’s booth purchase is pulled

Test Before You Go Live

Set a test company key before you pull every booth. While the key is set, Rhythm pulls only the matching eShow company and leaves every other company alone. Clear it after you confirm the registration, contact details, and badge count look right.

Dependencies and Precedence

Exhibitor Registration Type:, Exhibitor Registration Process:, Exhibitor Registration Package:, Exhibitor Coupon Type:, and Exhibitor Floor Type: all depend on the event chosen under Event Name:. Each list comes from that event’s own records, and Rhythm clears all five whenever you change the event.

Change Impact and How to Revert

You cannot remove a connected show from the Console; this screen only lets you switch it off with Enable Connection:. To change any setting, including the token or event, open the eShow screen again and save your changes. The new values replace the previous ones.

Permissions

Anyone who can sign in to the Console and open System & Security can view and change this connection, including its token. There is no separate permission for the eShow connection.

Validation and Errors

The eShow token, event, registration type, registration process, registration package, floor type, coupon type, exhibitor contact type, and exhibitor primary contact role are all required before Save Changes can save the connection. The primary contact role has no choices on a brand-new connection, so contact Rhythm support if this blocks your first save.
