A campaign record page, called Campaign 360, shows the campaign’s performance in one place. You can review the total amount raised, gift and pledge counts, progress toward the goal, and giving by month and appeal.

When to Use This

Use this when you need to report on campaign results or see which appeal, such as an email, mailing, or event, brought in specific gifts.

Prerequisites

You need permission to view campaigns.

  1. Find and open the campaign — see Find, Open, and Delete a Campaign.
  2. Review the four figures across the top of the page. Gifts and # Gifts show the amount and count of gifts credited to the campaign, while Pledges and # Pledges show the amount and count of pledges.
  3. Select the Progress tab, if it is not already open. This tab shows the campaign’s giving against its Goal:, when one is set, and a month-by-month chart broken down by appeal.
  4. Select a column, or one appeal’s segment of a column, to open a prepared query in the Query Center that lists that appeal’s gifts to the campaign.
  5. If the figures look out of date, select Refresh this data now beneath the chart to recompute them.

Result

You have an up-to-date view of the campaign’s totals and goal progress, plus a list of the underlying gifts when you need the detail behind a number.

Warning

Paid pledge installments also show up as gifts, so adding Gifts and Pledges together double-counts those payments. Review these figures side by side instead of combining them.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • The gifts a chart column opens aren't limited to that month. When you click a column, or one appeal’s part of it, Rhythm lists every gift from that appeal to the campaign, not only gifts from the month you clicked. Check the dates if you need results for only that period.
  • The chart always runs up to the current month, and it covers roughly the prior eleven months no matter when the campaign starts or ends. A campaign that ended a while ago can still show recent months with no giving.
  • Both the top figures and the chart are computed ahead of time, so they can lag behind the newest gifts and pledges until they are recalculated. Use Refresh this data now to update the chart. The top figures do not have their own refresh link, but reopening the page fetches their current values.
  • After recoding or mass-updating gifts to a different campaign, the amount raised and goal progress here may not reflect the change right away. Refresh or reopen the page, and use Refresh this data now for the chart, before assuming the recode did not take effect.
