A contact’s 360 page brings together what Rhythm knows about a person, including their details, organization, activities, relationships, and records from the other Rhythm applications you use.
Prerequisites
Your role must include permission to view contacts.
Open the Page
- Go to Contacts, search for the person, and select their name in the results.
Result
The contact’s 360 page opens with a header, buttons, badges for other applications with records for the contact, a role summary, and tabs.
You’ll see the same contact roles and summary information in contact-summary views from other areas, such as event registration, membership, accreditation, or fundraising 360 screens.
You can also open the 360 page from any contact link in Rhythm, including links in another application’s console.
What the Header Shows and Lets You Do
At the top of the page, you can:
- Choose Edit this Contact to open the full contact form.
- Choose Login to Portal to view the portal as this contact sees it.
- Choose Contact Options for actions such as sending a message, changing status, merging duplicates, and deleting the contact.
If Rhythm finds one or more suspected duplicate contacts, a warning banner appears here with a link to review them.
The contact’s photo in the header is for display only; you can’t select it to open the image in a new tab.
Below the header, badges show which other Rhythm applications have records for this person, such as memberships, event registrations, or orders. Use them to see where else you may need to review the contact’s activity.
If the contact was created automatically when someone registered as a guest at an event, a notice explains that and links to the registration that created the contact.
Work Through the Tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Contact Details | The contact’s own fields, such as name, addresses, phones, and similar details. |
| Organization Details | The contact’s organization and related information. |
| Emails | Every message Rhythm has sent this contact, including how many times each message was opened, which links were clicked, and whether the message bounced. Choose a message to see its details. Use this tab to check delivery and open status, such as when a member says they never received a login-related email. |
| Activities | The contact’s activity timeline, with staff-entered activity listed newest first. |
| Relationships | Links to other people or organizations. This tab appears only when your account has a relationship type that applies to contacts. |
| Google Civic | The contact’s national and state elected representatives. This tab appears only when your account has the Google Civic integration switched on. |
| Custom Fields | Your account’s extra fields for contacts. |
Rhythm remembers the tab you last opened for a contact in this browser and opens that same tab next time.
Tip
The Google Civic tab looks up representatives from the contact’s address. If it has nothing to show, it says so plainly instead of showing an error, so an empty tab does not necessarily mean the lookup failed.
Send the Contact an Email
- Choose Contact Options, then Send Message.
- Fill in the email and send it as you would any message.
Result
Rhythm sends and records the message, so it appears afterward on the contact’s Emails tab.
Send Message is available only when the contact has an email address on file.
If Something Goes Wrong
| What you see | What it means and what to do |
|---|---|
Cannot load contact | Rhythm could not find or read the contact. Return to search and try again. |
| The Google Civic tab is missing | Your account does not have the Google Civic integration switched on. |
| A tab you expect is missing, such as Relationships | The tab appears only when your account has a relationship type set up that applies to contacts. |
| You want to confirm whether an email actually went out | Open the contact’s Emails tab. It lists every message Rhythm has sent this person, along with whether it was opened. |
| A button such as Edit this Contact or Contact Options items are disabled | Your role does not include the matching permission. Ask an administrator. |
| The Edit Contact screen shows every communication type as enabled | This can happen even when it isn’t accurate. Trust the values shown in a Contacts query or on this 360 page instead. |
| A value you entered in Notes doesn’t appear on Contact Details or under Custom Fields after you save | This can happen even though the edit form accepted the value. Re-check the field, and re-enter it if it’s still missing. |
