A merchandise item’s 360 page shows two figures beside its price: its total sales and the number of purchases. Both figures apply only to that item.
See the Figures
- Open the merchandise item in Orders & Inventory › Merchandise.
- Review the Sales and Purchases tiles beside the item’s price.
Result
- Sales shows the item’s total sales.
- Purchases shows how many order lines bought the item.
What the Figures Count
- Sales adds up the total from every order line for that item. If orders used different currencies, Rhythm still adds those totals together as though they were the same currency. The tile label always uses your account’s default currency, so treat the total as approximate if your store sells in more than one currency.
- Purchases counts order lines, not units. If one order line bought five of the item, it counts once.
- Both figures include every order status, so lines from cancelled orders are still counted.
- An item that has never been bought shows a loading indicator instead of zero. If a tile keeps loading for an item you know has sales, check whether the item and the figures are still loading with the rest of the page; otherwise, it likely means no purchases have been recorded for that item yet.
- Both figures can be up to a day old, so they do not always include a sale made in the last few minutes.
Open the Purchases Behind the Figures
- Select the Sales or Purchases figure.

Orders & Inventory opens the Query Center with a query already built for this item’s purchases, so you can see who bought it and when. You need permission to run queries in Orders & Inventory to open this list; without that permission, you can still see the figures on the item’s page.
Warning
This query matches only on the product’s identifier. In the rare case where another kind of product shares the same identifier, its lines could also appear in this list.
Who Can See These Figures
You do not need any permission beyond the one that lets you open the item’s page. Once you are on the page, both figures are visible; only opening the full purchases list behind them needs its own permission.
