Opening Orders & Inventory takes you to its dashboard, where you can quickly see whether the shop is busy and whether work is waiting.
Open the Dashboard
- Go to Orders & Inventory › Overview, or open Orders & Inventory itself. The dashboard is the first page you see.
The Built-In Dashboard
Most Rhythm accounts show three figures and two charts:
- Orders (last 30 days) — the number of orders taken in the last 30 days, including every order status, even voided and cancelled orders.
- Sales (last 30 days) — the value of those orders, shown with your account's default currency label, no matter which currency the orders used. Because this includes voided and cancelled orders, the total can be higher than the amount the shop actually kept.
- Order Pending Shipping — the number of orders currently waiting to be shipped.
- Sales Last 6 Months by Product Category — monthly sales broken out by product category.
- Top 5 Products by Sales — the best-selling kinds of product.
Each figure can be up to a day old, so it is not always recalculated when you load the page.
Tip
The order count, sales total, and pending-shipping count each reflect a moment in time. When you open the list behind a figure, Rhythm calculates that list fresh, so the dashboard figure and the list total can differ slightly.
Open the Orders Behind a Figure
- Select the number on the Orders (last 30 days), Sales (last 30 days), or Order Pending Shipping tile.
Result
Orders & Inventory opens the matching order list in the Query Center. You need permission to run queries in Orders & Inventory to open the list. Without that permission, you can still see the dashboard figure, but you cannot open the list behind it.
The two charts do not open a list of orders; they are only for a quick visual read.
When Your Dashboard Looks Different
If your organization set up a custom analytics dashboard for Orders & Inventory, you see that dashboard instead of the tiles and charts described above. You also see a Customize option if you are allowed to change it. Your dashboard can look completely different from another organization's dashboard, or from the dashboard in this article, depending on whether your organization built its own.
