Entitlements show the rights a customer has, such as exam sittings, a period of access, or similar benefits a purchase grants. This article shows where to find them on a customer's record, on the order that granted them, and in the full detail view for one entitlement.
Prerequisites
Entitlements must be turned on for your Rhythm account before the Entitlements tab appears.
See Everything a Customer Holds
- Open the contact's or organization's record.
- Open the Entitlements tab.
Result
The tab lists every right that contact or organization holds, including its type, the order that granted it when there is one, the quantity, and the expiration date. A hand-added entitlement does not show an order because no order granted it.
Tip
The list matches the identifier saved on the entitlement. If an entitlement was granted to an organization, it appears on that organization's tab. It appears on a contact's tab only when the entitlement also carries that contact's identifier.
See What One Order Granted
- Open the order.
- Open its Entitlements tab.
Result
The tab lists every right that order granted, using the same details you see on a customer's record.
Warning
An order can have two different tabs both labelled Entitlements. One lists these rights, and the other belongs to entitlements from the Documents application. The label does not show which tab is which, so open each tab to see what it lists.
After you correct or remove an entitlement from an order's Entitlements tab, the table does not refresh automatically. Reload the page to see the change there.
Reading the List
- Type shows the entitlement type's name after Rhythm resolves it. While the name is loading, the cell briefly shows three dots. If the type has been deleted, the row shows its saved identifier instead of a name.
- Order shows a link that reads Order # followed by the order's number when an order granted the entitlement. The number can take a moment to appear, and the link still opens the order even if the number never resolves.
- Quantity and Expiration show exactly what was saved. The list does not mark an expired entitlement or separate it from a current one, so check the expiration date when that matters.
- Select a column header to sort the list by that column. Type and Order sort by their saved values, not by the name or number shown.
Open One Entitlement's Full Detail
Select the pencil icon on a row to open the entitlement's full record, including its notes, in the same dialog you use to correct an entitlement. See Add, Edit, or Remove an Entitlement.
