Two screens help you get oriented in Awards. Overview gives you an analytics dashboard and a starting point for your role, while Setup shows the Awards configuration that still needs attention across your Rhythm account. This article explains both screens and why an Awards menu entry might be missing or unavailable for a staff member.

The Awards Overview and Its Dashboard
The Overview page includes an analytics dashboard that summarizes award activity in your Rhythm account. To change what the dashboard shows, use the dashboard’s edit option to open the dashboard builder. The dashboard builder is a Platform feature, so you need the Platform dashboard-builder permission to open it. Awards permissions are separate, so an Awards administrator role does not let you edit the dashboard by itself.
The Awards Setup Checklist
The Setup page brings your outstanding Awards configuration into one place, including award types, permissions, fees, and the other settings covered in this Configure section. Each checklist item links directly to the setting you need to update. You need the Awards administrator permission to open this checklist.
Two review-related checklist items, including decline-reason setup, come from the separate Submissions and Review application rather than Awards. If your Rhythm account uses Awards reviewer workflows but does not have Submissions and Review, those two items can point to setup your account cannot access.
Prerequisites
You need the Awards administrator permission to open Awards & Nominations › Setup.
Menu Entries That Come and Go
If an Awards menu entry is missing or will not open, one of these conditions usually explains it:
- Some entries depend on account-wide features. Menu items such as Overview, Queries, and Reports appear only after the related feature is part of your Rhythm account. Reports appears only while your account still uses the classic reporting experience, and it is replaced when the newer reporting experience is turned on.
- The menu does not check what you are allowed to open. Seeing a menu entry, including Setup, does not mean you have permission to use the page behind it. You can see Setup on the menu even if you do not have the Awards administrator permission needed to open it.
- Hiding a menu entry only hides the menu item. If you have a direct link to the page behind a hidden entry, the page can still work. Hiding the entry from the menu does not remove the page.
Tip
If a staff member can open an Awards page but cannot see it in the menu, or can see a menu item but cannot open it, check the account-wide features and that person’s Awards permissions before assuming something is broken.
Permissions
You need the Awards administrator permission to open the Awards setup checklist. To edit the Overview dashboard, you also need the separate Platform dashboard-builder permission, no matter which Awards role you already have.
