When you open the Awards Console, what you see depends on how your Rhythm account is set up. You see either an interactive dashboard, a plain award list with two counts and two buttons, or a notice that dashboards are not part of your plan. This setting applies to your whole account, so every staff member who opens Awards sees the same version.

When to Use This

Use this article to understand what appears when you first open the Awards Console, and how to find the award list in any version.

Prerequisites

  • Permission to open the Awards Console. Without it, Rhythm stops the navigation and shows an Access Denied message with the missing permission.

If Your Account Shows the Award List

  1. Open the Awards Console.
  2. Rhythm shows two counts, Open Awards and Applications for Open Awards, plus two buttons: Create a New Award from Scratch and Clone an Existing Award.
  3. To find an award, search on the left by Name:, Type:, or ID:, or choose one from Recently Viewed Awards on the right.

Result

Selecting either count opens a ready-made question in the Query Center for the matching awards or applications. Selecting an award name from the search results or recent list opens that award.

Tip

An award dated today is not included in Open Awards until the day is over, even though it can still appear when you open the count’s ready-made question.

Warning

Create a New Award from Scratch and Clone an Existing Award appear for everyone who can see this page, even if you do not have permission to create or clone awards. If you select one without the right permission, Rhythm refuses on the next page instead of hiding the button here.

If Your Account Shows an Embedded Dashboard

  1. Open the Awards Console. Rhythm loads an analytics dashboard instead of the award list.
  2. To reach the award list and its buttons, select Awards in the left menu.

Result

The dashboard fills the page. If you are allowed to build dashboards, you also see a Customize option for editing it; other staff do not.

If You See a Locked Dashboard Notice

  1. Read the notice headed This Dashboard isn't part of your plan yet.
  2. Select Awards in the hint text or in the left menu to reach the award list, search, counts, and buttons.

Result

You land on the same award list described above.

Warning

Rhythm shows this locked notice whenever it cannot display a dashboard for any reason, not only when your plan does not include one. If you believe your account should show a dashboard and the notice keeps appearing, contact Rhythm rather than assuming the setup is wrong. The notice’s two buttons, Contact my account manager and Learn what's included, do not currently do anything when selected.
