Before you can work with an award, you need to find and open it. This article explains how to search for awards in the Console, where Rhythm takes you when you open one, and how to use the award’s setup checklist.
Where to Find It
Go to Awards & Nominations › Awards. Some accounts show the same list as Overview instead. This opens a search page for the awards in your Rhythm account.
Searching for an Award
| Criterion | What it matches |
|---|---|
| Name: | Any part of the award’s name |
| Type: | One or more award types. The picker shows active types only, so search by name if the award’s type is now inactive. |
| ID: | One or more identifiers, entered one per line or separated by commas |
Search results also show the award’s type, based on its identifier. The Date and Location columns are not used for awards and always stay blank, so you can ignore them.
Use the Recently Viewed Awards panel next to the search results to reopen awards you’ve viewed recently without searching again.
Where You Land When You Open an Award
Click an award’s name to open it. Rhythm sends you to the most useful page for that award, based on which features are switched on:
- Its applications, if applications are switched on for the award.
- Otherwise its nominations, if nominations are switched on.
- Otherwise its recipients.
After you open the award, its menu shows only the sections turned on for that award: Nominations and Nominees, Applications, Reviews, and always Recipients, Queries, Reports, and Setup. If a feature switch is off, that menu item disappears, but a direct link to that page still works. The menu is a shortcut, not a lock.
Tip
A link to an award from somewhere else in Rhythm, such as a related record, uses the same landing address and follows the same redirect. If a link seems to open the wrong award, check the address the link points to rather than anything on this screen.
The Award Setup Checklist
Inside an award, go to Setup to see its setup checklist. The checklist is a numbered list of links grouped under Applications, Nominations, References, Recipients, and Application Reviews, and each link takes you to the page where you configure that part of the award.
Warning
The checklist is only a guide. It does not track which steps you have completed, and it does not check whether a feature is switched on for the award. You will still see the nomination steps even if Nominations is off for that award. Use the checklist as a reminder of what you can configure, not as a record of what is done.
Permissions
To open the awards list and search, you need the same basic console access that every Awards policy grants. See Awards Staff Permissions and Policies. Opening a specific award checks that same access, rather than a permission for that one award.
