A sponsor contact tells you they do not see any sponsorships in the Portal, or that a specific sponsorship will not open. This article covers what a signed-in Portal member from a sponsor organization can see, not what staff see in the Console.

Scope

This applies to My Sponsorships and to each sponsorship’s view page in the Portal. It does not cover applications waiting for review, which have their own visibility rules, or members who cannot sign in to the Portal at all.

Likely Causes

1. Their Contact Role Does Not Include Viewing Sponsorships

Why this happens. Your Rhythm account controls, by contact role, whether a Portal member can see their organization’s sponsorships. If the member’s role does not have that permission, they see an empty or missing sponsorships section even when their organization has sponsorships.

Check. Confirm which contact role the member has, then check whether your Portal permissions allow that role to view sponsorships.

Fix. If that role should see sponsorships, update the role’s permissions, or assign the member a role that already has access. An administrator manages these options in your account’s sponsorship settings; see Sponsorship Settings for where to find them.

2. They Are Signed In for the Wrong Organization

Why this happens. Sponsorships belong to one organization, and Portal members only see sponsorships for the organization they are viewing. If the member can act for more than one organization in the Portal, they may be looking at the wrong one.

Check. If the member represents more than one organization, confirm which organization they are currently viewing in the Portal.

Fix. Ask them to switch to the organization that holds the sponsorship, then check again. See Manage Your Organization for how organization context works in the Portal.

3. The Sponsorship Belongs to a Different Organization

Why this happens. If a member opens a sponsorship page directly, such as from an old link or a link someone else shared, Rhythm refuses access when the sponsorship belongs to a different organization. Rhythm shows the same “unable to load” message when the sponsorship does not exist and when it belongs to someone else, so this can look like a broken or mistyped link.

Check. Confirm which organization holds the sponsorship the member is trying to open, then compare it with the organization the member represents.

Fix. If the sponsorship belongs to the member’s organization, have them open it from their organization’s My Sponsorships list instead of using an old link. If it belongs to another organization, they cannot see it by design.

4. Sponsorships Are Not Set Up on This Portal Page

Why this happens. The sponsorships section is a block your administrator adds to a Portal page. If the block was never added, or was added to a different page, nobody sees sponsorships on that page, no matter their role or organization.

Check. Ask your Rhythm administrator whether a sponsorships block has been added to the Portal page the member is using.

Fix. If the block is missing, have your administrator add the sponsorships block to that page.

When to Contact Support

Contact Support if you have confirmed that the member’s contact role can view sponsorships, they are viewing the correct organization, the sponsorship belongs to that organization, and the Portal page is set up correctly, but the sponsorship still does not appear or will not open.
