After you book or take an exam, you can view it in the Portal. You’ll see the exam status, sitting details, and your result after your association releases it.

When to Use This

Use this task to review exams you’ve booked or taken and check where each one stands. To book a new exam, use your association’s exam booking pages in the Portal; this article covers exams you’ve already registered for.

Prerequisites

  • You’re signed in to the Portal with a linked contact record.

View Your Exams

  1. Open your My Exams page in the Portal.

Result

Rhythm lists every exam registration on your record, including the date, exam name, and status. If you haven’t registered for or taken any exams, you’ll see a message instead of a list.

Select Register for Exam from this page if you want to book another exam. If you need to log an exam you took before your association used Rhythm, look for the historical exams option on this page; it takes you to the same page used to record a prior exam.

Open One Exam Registration

  1. From My Exams, select an exam’s name.

Result

The registration details open, including the exam, testing location or facility, address, registration number, and date and time. If your association has released your result, you’ll also see your score and, when available, a link to download the scoring report. Status works differently from score: if the exam is not published, the page shows your registration status, such as Registered; after the exam is published, it shows the actual exam status, such as Passed or Failed. Statuses that do not carry a result, such as Cancelled or No Show, are meant to show as themselves either way instead of being masked as Registered.

If this exam registration is linked to a course registration you made, such as an exam bundled with a course, the page tells you and links to that course registration.

Tip

Your scoring report normally downloads with its original file extension. If a download opens without one, the issue has mostly affected older, already-stored scoring reports rather than reports attached to new registrations. A newly created registration and a newly attached report are the more reliable way to confirm whether the issue still affects you.

Draft and Abandoned Bookings

Your My Exams list shows every exam registration on your record, regardless of status. That includes a draft left behind when you started booking an exam but did not finish, and a booking you later cancelled. An old draft or cancelled booking does not mean anything is still pending on your account; check its status to see where it stands.

If your certification requires more than one exam section, you can go through exam registration multiple times, once for each section, until you complete all sections. After you complete a section, it no longer appears as something you can register for again.

Some older exam history, especially results from before 2000, may be stored on your record as a certification activity rather than as a standard exam registration. If a very old result does not appear the way a newer one does, that is usually why. Exam results from 2000 onward are expected to appear automatically on your record and in any transmittal your association sends to a licensure board. A result from before 2000 typically has to be added to your record manually before your association can start verifying it. Your record may also show a Latest Activity Date, which reflects only the most recent exam result that has actually been imported for you; it does not reflect activity that has not been imported yet.

Why You Can’t See Your Score Yet

An exam’s detail page shows a masked status, such as Registered, until your association marks the result as released, even if scoring finished earlier. This keeps result-bearing outcomes, like a pass or fail, hidden until your association is ready to share them. It is not meant to hide a status that never carries a result, such as Cancelled or No Show; those statuses should show as themselves regardless of release. After the result is released, the actual status and score appear on the same page.

If You Can’t Open a Registration

The page only loads your own exam registrations. If a link fails to load or says the registration could not be found, either the registration no longer exists or the link was not yours to use. Return to My Exams and open the registration from your own list instead.

Tip

If My Exams appears empty the first time you land directly on it, such as from a bookmarked or shared link, try reloading the page or navigating to it from elsewhere in the Portal. The page needs to resolve your linked contact record before it can load your registrations, and going straight to the page can sometimes outrun that step.
