After you earn a certification, you can view its details and status in the Portal without contacting your association. You can also print your certificate and start a renewal when one is available.

When to Use This

Use this task to check your certifications, print a certificate, or start the next application for a certification you or your organization holds. To search for someone else's certification instead of your own, see Search a Certification Directory and Contact a Holder.

Prerequisites

  • You're signed in to the Portal with a linked contact record.

View Your Certifications

  1. Open your My Certifications page in the Portal.

Result

Rhythm lists your certifications with the certification number, certification date, program, expiration date, and status. The list includes your personal certifications and any organization certifications where you're recorded as the contact. It includes certifications in every status, not just active certifications.

If you don't hold any certifications yet, you see a message instead of a list.

Tip

Your list shows every certification regardless of status, so inactive, suspended, and retired certifications stay visible with active ones. Use the Status column to tell them apart.

These columns are fixed. Your association can't add a field, such as a renewal date, through configuration. If your association wants a different column, they need to submit it as a feature request for product or engineering to evaluate.

Open One Certification

  1. From My Certifications, select a program name.

Result

The certification details open with the certification number, program, certification date, status, and expiration date. You also see a table of the applications you've submitted under this program.

If no applications are linked to the program, you see a message instead of a table.

Print a Certificate

  1. Open the certification you want a certificate for.
  2. Select Print Certificate.

Result

Rhythm creates your certificate and opens it in a new browser window, where you can view, save, or print it.

Tip

Print Certificate appears only when your association's program is set up to produce certificates. If you don't see the button, your association hasn't turned on certificates for this program.

Start a Renewal or Other Application

  1. Open the certification.
  2. Select Apply/Renew.

Result

Rhythm takes you to the application process you or your organization are currently eligible for under this program.

Apply/Renew appears only when at least one application process is currently eligible. For example, it doesn't appear if your certification is suspended, because a suspended certification isn't eligible for any process.
