If you need proof of your continuing-education credits for a licensing board, employer, or someone else, you can print a credit transcript from the Portal when your association allows it.
When to Use This
Use this task when you need a document that lists your continuing-education credits for a period and totals them by credit type. You print the transcript from the same page where you view your credits. If you only want to review your credits and activities online, see View Your Activities and Credits instead.
Prerequisites
- You're signed in to the Portal with a contact record that has recorded credits.
- Your association must allow members to print credit transcripts. If it doesn't, the print option described below does not appear, and you cannot open it another way from the Portal.
Tip
If your association has not turned on printing for members, or you need a transcript but cannot access the Portal, ask a staff member at your association. Staff can print the same kind of transcript for your record from their side.
Print Your Transcript
- Open your credits page in the Portal, titled My Credits.
- Select Print Credit Transcript.
- If your association offers more than one transcript layout, choose one from Select a Format:. If only one layout is available, Rhythm uses it automatically and does not show a chooser.
- Optionally enter a Start Date: and an End Date: to limit the transcript to a period. Leave either field blank if you do not want to limit that end of the period.
- Select Print Transcript.
Result
Rhythm builds your transcript and opens it in a new browser window, where you can read, save, or print it. Your credits page stays open behind it.
If you decide not to print, select Cancel to return to your credit list without creating a transcript.
What Counts as "Your Credits" on the Transcript
The transcript lists every credit recorded for you within the dates you chose, regardless of review status. The totals by credit type, and the overall total, exclude only credits with a status of draft or rejected. Every other status, including a credit still under review, is included in the totals. Your day-to-day credits list hides archived credits until you ask to see them, so the transcript can differ from the list you usually see.
The date filter uses each credit's CE Credit Date only, treated as a calendar date without a time or time zone. A credit is included when its CE Credit Date falls on or between your start and end dates, including both dates. A credit with no CE Credit Date, or an invalid one, is left out of the transcript.
What the Transcript Looks Like
Your association can design its own transcript layout. If it has not, Rhythm uses a built-in layout with:
- A heading that names your association and shows Continuing Education Transcript.
- Your name, member ID, and email address.
- The reporting period you chose, or a note that all dates are included when you leave the dates blank.
- Your total credits earned, shown as a number followed by CLE Hours.
- A Credit Summary table that lists every included credit, newest first, with its date, activity, provider, credit type, and quantity.
- A Credit Totals by Category section, with one line for each credit type and its total.
A layout designed by your association can show more than the built-in version, including your organization, membership details, and information about the course, exam, training provider, or event behind each credit. It can also include any custom fields your association’s template is set up to show.
If You Don't See a Print Option
If Print Credit Transcript does not appear on your credits page, your association has not turned printing on for members. There is no other button or link in the Portal that opens it. Ask staff at your association to turn it on or print a transcript for you directly.
