Most Accreditation lists and forms in the Console show records for your current program. This article explains where to see that program, how to change it, and what updates after you switch.
What This Does and When to Use It
Switch your current program when you need to work in a different accreditation program. School searches, new records, and most other Accreditation work use the current program by default, so choosing it first helps you avoid missing schools or visits you expected to see.
Prerequisites
- You need a signed-in Console session in an account with at least one accreditation program.
Switch Your Current Program
- On any Accreditation Console page, find Current Program: in the top-right corner, then select (change).
- On Choose Accreditation Program, use Currently Selected Program: to choose the program you want to work in.
- Select Set Program.
Result
The Console takes you to the Accreditations overview. Program-filtered lists and forms you open from there now use the newly chosen program.
Selecting Cancel leaves without changing your current program.
Tip
The list includes inactive programs along with active ones, so you can still switch into an inactive program when you need to.
What Happens Automatically
- Your choice is remembered. The Console stores your current program in this browser, so it is still set the next time you sign in on the same computer. This is a browser preference, not an account or user preference: someone else using the same browser and account sees the same choice, and the choice does not follow you to another computer.
- The first time you use the Console, a program is chosen for you. If the browser does not have a program stored yet, the Console chooses your account's first program automatically so you can start working. You can change it right away if it is not the program you intended to use.
- Most lists and forms follow the current program. Searches for schools, candidates, site visits, and reports show only records from the current program. New schools, visits, reports, candidates, and evaluations are also created in the current program by default. These areas do not let you search across multiple programs at once or change a new record's program on the form, so switch programs first when you need a different one.
- The dashboard follows it too. The counts on the program dashboard reflect whichever program is current.
If You Cannot Choose a Program
Warning
If your account has no accreditation program at all, the Console sends you to this same screen, but the list has nothing to choose. Set up a program first.
If the Console cannot load the program stored in your browser, such as after that program was deleted, a guarded page sends you back here to choose again.
