An activity is a dated, staff-only task you record on a site visit, such as booking travel, sending the team roster, or chasing a document. Accreditation does not use activities anywhere else; they are only a staff log for the visit. Use this article to add, update, and remove activities from a visit's Activities tab.
Prerequisites
- Your account must have at least one activity type set up in Setup. If it does not, the Type: list in the activity dialog is empty, and you cannot save a new activity.
- The Console does not check a separate permission for logging, editing, or deleting activities. Anyone who can open the visit's record can use every control on the Activities tab.
Log an Activity
- Go to Accreditations › Site Visits. Search for the visit, then choose Dates on its row to open the visit's record.
- Select the Activities tab.
- Choose Create Activity.
- Pick a Type:. Rhythm fills Title with the type's name, but you can keep it or enter your own wording.
- Enter the Date. You can store a time of day with the date.
- Set the Status:. New activities default to Completed because staff usually log them after the work is done. Choose Open or Waiting On Someone Else instead if that status fits better.
- Add any free-text Notes.
- Choose Save Changes.
Result
The dialog closes, the visit's record reloads, and the new activity appears in the activities table on the Activities tab. The tab's count increases by one. Before you choose a column header, the table follows the visit's saved activity order, which lists activities oldest first. You can sort the table by Date, Name, or Status by choosing that column header.
Tip
Choosing a different Type: always replaces whatever is in Title, even if you already typed your own wording. To keep a custom title, choose the type first, then finish typing the title.
Change an Activity's Status
An activity's status is one of three fixed values: Open, Completed, or Waiting On Someone Else. Accreditation does not use the status anywhere else, so changing it only updates what appears on the Activities tab. There are no side effects, and an activity can move between any of the three statuses.
- On the Activities tab, find the activity's row.
- Choose the pencil icon on that row. The edit and delete icons appear only when you point at the row.
- Change Status: to the value you want.
- Choose Save Changes.
Result
After the visit's record reloads, the activity's row shows the new status.
Correct an Activity
You can change any field on a saved activity, including its type, title, date, status, and notes. Use the same edit dialog you use for a status change.
- On the Activities tab, point at the activity and choose the pencil icon.
- Update any field. Changing Type: replaces Title with the new type's name, just as it does when you create an activity. If you want to keep your own wording, retype the title afterward.
- Choose Save Changes.
Result
The dialog closes, the visit's record reloads, and the row shows your changes.
Warning
Closing the dialog with Cancel, the × button, or Escape discards anything you typed, with no warning or confirmation. To keep your changes, choose Save Changes instead of closing the dialog.
Delete an Activity
- On the Activities tab, point at the activity and choose the trash icon on its row.
- Confirm the prompt Are you sure you want to delete this activity?
Result
The activity is permanently removed from the visit. The Console offers no way to restore a deleted activity or to see who deleted it; that information appears only in your account's audit history and change records.
Warning
Deleting an activity has only one confirmation prompt. Nothing on the visit's record depends on activities, so removing one does not affect anything else. Because the Console does not check a separate permission for this action, anyone who can reach the visit's 360 page can delete any activity logged on it, whether or not they logged it themselves.
See All of a Visit's Activities
The Activities tab lists every activity logged on the visit, oldest first. Each row shows the activity's date, name (title), and status. When a visit has no activities, the tab shows There are no activities associated with this visit. instead of the table, and Create Activity is still available.
The tab shows only the first page of the visit's activities. If a visit has an unusually large number of activities, some activities may not appear on the tab.

Activities belong to the site visit's own record, so you start by finding and opening the visit. Activity types are defined administratively in Setup. Logging activities is separate from tracking a visit's owed reports; see How a Visit's Owed Reports Are Tracked for that separate tracking.
