A shipment you send through UPS includes a label, and Rhythm saves it for you. You can print the label right after you create the shipment, print it later from the order or shipment record, print labels after shipping a batch of orders, or reprint labels for several orders at once.
Only UPS shipments have Rhythm-generated labels. If you record a shipment manually or use another carrier, Rhythm does not create a label to print here.
Prerequisites
- Permission to create shipments. Reprinting labels uses the same permission as shipping.
Print a Label Right After Creating a Shipment
- Create the shipment through UPS, as described in Ship Through UPS.
- After the shipment succeeds and includes a label, select Print Label.
Result
Rhythm opens a print-ready 4-by-6-inch label page in a new window and starts your browser's print dialog.
Print a Label from an Order or Its Shipment
- Open the order (see Search for and Manage Orders) and go to its Shipments tab, or open the shipment record directly.
- Select Print Label.
Result
The label opens for printing. From the order's Shipments tab, it prints on the standard 4-by-6-inch page. From the shipment record, the label image opens directly instead of using that page formatting.
Print Labels After Shipping a Batch
When you ship several orders together, the success screen lists each shipment Rhythm created. It shows Print Label next to each shipment that has a label. This list is available only on the success screen, so after you leave it, use Reprint Labels below to find those labels again.
- After shipping multiple orders at once, find the shipment's row on the success screen.
- Select Print Label.
Reprint Labels for Several Orders at Once
- Search for or select the orders that need labels.
- Select Bulk Changes, tick the orders, and choose Reprint Labels.
- In the shipment list, select Print Label next to each label you need.
Result
Rhythm lists every shipment for each order you chose, including the tracking number. Shipments with labels have a Print Label button. Shipments recorded manually do not have a button because they do not have labels.
Tip
Reprint Labels reads only the first page of each order's shipment history. If an order has an unusually large number of shipments, the oldest shipments may not appear in this list.
You can also print or reprint labels from a shipping overview. From there, you can view order items and orders together, ship several orders at once, and reprint labels for several orders using the same steps above.
Warning
If your browser blocks the print window, Rhythm tells you to allow pop-ups for the site and try again. If the label image fails to load, you see a message asking you to try again. If Print Label on a shipment's success screen does not seem to do anything and does not show either message, print the label again from the order's Shipments tab or the shipment record.
Tip
A label that looks correct in Rhythm or in a saved PDF can still print at the wrong size or layout on a physical label printer, especially a thermal printer such as a Zebra. This usually comes from your browser's print settings or the printer's configuration, not the label data. If a label prints too large, too small, or misaligned, open your browser's print dialog and check the scale, page size, and orientation. Before you print again, switch scale from Default to Custom and confirm the page size matches your label stock, commonly 4 x 6 or 4 x 6.25 inches.
