Coupon codes from every Rhythm application that offers coupons are stored in one place. This includes Orders & Inventory merchandise coupons, plus Membership, Events, and Certifications coupons. Use this article to find a code, review its details, and delete it when Rhythm allows deletion.
See Every Coupon Code in Your Account
- Go to Setup › Coupons & Discounts › All Codes.
- Use the filter box to search by code or name.
- Select the search icon on a row to open that code.
Each row shows the code, the application it belongs to, the coupon name, the last time it changed, and whether it is active or inactive. When you select an Orders & Inventory code, its detail page opens here. When you select a code from another application’s coupon, that application’s own Console opens instead. After you open a code from this list, you can manage it there, including changing its status to Inactive.
Warning
This list shows only the first page of codes. If your account has many coupon codes, some codes will not appear here. Use the filter box, or open the codes from their coupon, order, or customer instead.
You can also find coupon codes and their usage with a query. Go to Orders & Inventory, choose New Query, and select either Coupon Codes or Coupon Code Usages as the query type.
See the Codes for One Coupon
Open the coupon in Setup › Coupons & Discounts › Coupons, then open its codes. This list shows only the codes that belong to that coupon.
See the Codes an Order Issued
Open the order and look for its Issued Coupon Codes tab. If the order did not issue any codes, the tab tells you.
See the Codes a Contact or Organization Owns
Open the contact’s or organization’s record. A panel lists the coupon codes owned by that contact or organization. This panel shows only codes they own. Codes that limit use to that contact or organization, but do not make them the owner, do not appear here.
See a Code's Detail Page
- Open the code from any of the lists above.
- Review its details: Name:, Code:, Type: (single use or multi use), Order: (the order that issued it, if any), its valid dates, and its usage limits.
- If the code has an owner, select the owner link to open their record.
- Open the Usages tab to see which orders used the code, the Restricted Contacts or Restricted Organizations tabs to see who it is limited to, and the Notes tab for any notes kept on it.
The Usages tab is useful after a code has been redeemed. It does not show who received a code before anyone used it, so check the code’s owner and its restricted contacts or organizations for that information.
Tip
If a code’s Usages tab looks out of date, cross-check it with an Orders & Inventory Coupon Code Usages query. The 360 page’s usage list can occasionally lag behind, while the query reflects current usage.
Delete a Coupon Code
- Open the code's detail page.
- Choose Delete, and confirm.
Result
The code is removed. Deleting a code does not affect the coupon it belonged to or any order that already used it.
Warning
Orders & Inventory will not delete a code that any order has already used. It can also refuse to delete a code that is tied to other related records or existing data. If Rhythm refuses the deletion for any reason, switch the code to inactive instead so it can no longer be used. See Create or Edit a Coupon Code.
Delete is not available from the All Codes list. Open the code’s own detail page first.
