If your organization uses the AI dashboard agent to answer questions about embedded analytics dashboards, the Credit Usage page shows how much your staff have used, the estimated cost, and who used it. Every question the agent answers uses AI credits, and Rhythm intends to pass that cost on to your organization, so check this page before the cost is a surprise.
Use this page when you want to review your organization’s AI usage for the last month, spot unusually busy days, or see which staff members ask the agent the most questions. This page does not let you set a budget, limit anyone’s use, or choose a different date range. Each visit shows the same fixed window.
Prerequisites
- Your organization needs AI turned on. If the AI menu group does not appear under System & Security, or the Credit Usage page sends you back to the Console home as soon as you open it, your organization most likely does not have AI turned on for embedded dashboards, or you do not have the administrator-level access this page requires.
- You need the same Console access as an administrator who manages Console user profiles. There is no separate AI-specific permission to grant someone. If you can open other administrator pages under System & Security, you can most likely open this one too after AI is turned on for your organization.
View Your Organization's AI Credit Usage
- Go to System & Security › AI › Credit Usage.
- Wait for the four figures at the top of the page to load: Total Credits, Estimated Cost, Active Users, and Last Import.
- Review the Credit Usage Trend panel below the figures. It shows one horizontal bar for each day with usage, so you can quickly see which days were busiest.
- Review the Grouped Usage Rows table below that. It shows one row for each person who used the AI agent, along with their credits, estimated cost, and counts of requests, prompts, and tool calls.
- Select Refresh at any time to reload both the figures and the table with the latest imported usage.
Result
The page shows your organization’s AI credit usage, estimated cost, and per-person breakdown for Rhythm’s fixed 30-day window: the 30 days before today, plus today. You cannot choose a different period.
What Each Figure Means
- Total Credits is the total number of credits your organization’s staff used during the window.
- Estimated Cost treats every credit as one US dollar, with no discount or other pricing rule. It is always the same number as Total Credits, with a dollar sign in front of it. This flat rate is Rhythm's current estimate, not a fixed or guaranteed price; it may change.
- Active Users counts each distinct person who used the agent at least once during the window. If someone’s underlying account identifier changed during the window, such as after certain account changes, Rhythm can count that person twice, once under each identifier.
- Last Import shows when usage was last brought into Rhythm for a row inside the current window. It does not necessarily show when the most recent import ran overall. It reads No imports when the window has no usage at all, even if imports have run.
The figures are not live. Usage is exported on a schedule and imported into Rhythm roughly once an hour, so a question your staff asked in the last hour may not appear yet. If you expect to see very recent activity, wait and select Refresh again.
Reading the Trend and the Table
The Credit Usage Trend panel shows a bar for each day with at least one credit of usage. Days with no usage do not have a bar, so a gap in the chart does not always prove there was zero usage; check the date range. Bar width compares each day to your busiest day in the window, so the longest bar is always your heaviest day.
The Grouped Usage Rows table shows each person’s total credits, an estimated cost at the same one-dollar-per-credit rate, and separate counts for requests, prompts, and tool calls. Rows are not sorted by name; they follow an internal order, so scan the whole table instead of expecting alphabetical order. A person’s request count can be higher than the number of questions they actually asked because some exports do not distinguish a single AI request from a single logged row.
Tip
If a colleague’s name does not appear on a day you know they used the agent, check Last Import first. If it is more than an hour or two old, the day’s usage may not have been imported yet. Refresh again later instead of assuming the usage was not logged.
If Usage Looks Wrong or Missing
- No rows at all, but you know staff used the AI agent. Usage is imported on an hourly schedule, so give it time and refresh. If a full day has passed with no change, contact Support.
- The page won't load, or shows an error naming a failed request. Select Refresh to try again. If it keeps failing, contact Support and note the approximate time you saw the error.
- A person appears twice with split totals. This can happen when their account identifier changed during the window. The two rows both belong to the same person, so add their credits together for an accurate total.
Warning
Anyone with the administrator access needed to open this page can see every colleague’s individual AI usage, and there is no way to restrict the view to your own usage. There is no separate setting to hide other staff members’ rows.
