Your organization’s job postings appear in your Employer Center in the Portal. This includes drafts created on your behalf and postings that have already ended.
Warning
You can post and manage job ads in the Portal, but you won’t see who applied. Applications submitted through a job board are emailed to the posting’s contact instead.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- You need to be signed in to the Portal, with your account linked to your organization.
- To edit or close a posting, your contact role must allow job posting edits, or you need an administrative role at your organization.
See Your Postings
- Open your Employer Center.
Result
You see a table of your organization’s job postings, including each posting’s Name, Status, and Expiration date. The table shows every posting, so drafts, expired postings, and suspended postings appear alongside active ones.
View a Posting
- From the list, select a posting’s name.
Result
You see the posting’s title, employer name, status, full advertisement, and post and expiration dates.
A posting does not have a separate, shareable web address here. When you open a posting, you stay in your Employer Center instead of going to a distinct page you can send to someone else. That is the current design, not something to report as broken.
Edit an Active Posting
- Open the posting. Edit Job appears only when the posting is active, your role allows job posting edits or you have an administrative role at your organization, and the posting’s process allows employer edits or the posting has no process.
- Select Edit Job.
- Make your changes in the form. Depending on how the job was posted, you’ll use either your association’s editing form for job postings or a shorter general form.
- Save.
Result
Your changes are saved, and you return to the posting’s page.
Tip
If Edit Job doesn’t appear on an active posting, your contact role doesn’t allow job posting edits, or the process used to post this job doesn’t allow employer edits. Ask your association about either.
Close a Posting Early
If a position is filled before its scheduled expiration date, you can take the posting down right away.
- Open the active posting. Close Job appears under the same conditions as Edit Job.
- Select Close Job.
- Confirm when asked.
Result
The posting is taken down immediately.
Warning
You can’t undo closing a posting from here. Afterward, it looks the same as a posting that reached its scheduled expiration date. Closing doesn’t send an expiration email, and it doesn’t return a posting to your organization’s available balance.
If It Fails
- "Unable to retrieve job." The posting couldn’t be loaded. Return to your Employer Center and open it again.
- Edit Job fails to load for a posting created directly by your association, with no process. Some accounts have seen editing fail on these postings because the edit page expects a process, and a manually created posting does not have one. This has been fixed for many accounts; if it still happens for you, contact your association.
- "Unable to close job posting." Try again. If it keeps failing, contact your association.
- Saving an edit fails. Make sure all required fields are filled in, including at least the title, employer name, and advertisement. Then save again.
