Each award has two related lists: nominations that members submitted and nominees, the distinct candidates named in those nominations. Use this article to find either record, open the full details, and move a nominee forward as a winner.

When to Use This

Use this article when you need to find a specific nomination or nominee, check an award’s totals, or review everything recorded about a candidate before you decide whether they won.

Prerequisites

  • Permission to access nominations, so you can search for and open them.
  • Permission to access nominees, so you can search for and open them.

Search an Award's Nominations

  1. Go to Awards › <award name> › Nominations.
  2. Use the search criteria to narrow the list by the nominator’s details: Name:, City:, State:, Country:, Job Title:, and Email Address:, plus Nomination Date: and ID:.
  3. Select a result’s date or the nominator’s name to open the full nomination record.

Result

The Nominations and Nominees tiles at the top of the page show this award’s totals. Select either tile to open a ready-made question in the Query Center for those matching records.

Tip

From the Query Center, you can add a Categories column to a nominations query. Any nomination custom fields you've configured are available too; open the field finder in the query builder, then search for the field by name to add it. If a query filtered directly on recipient category hangs instead of finishing, remove that criterion, add the categories field to your output columns instead, and sort or review the results after the query runs. That approach has worked as a reliable alternative. If opening a result's pop-out from a query leads to a blank page, check whether you ran the query at the account level rather than inside this specific award. Running it from inside the award has resolved that issue when it comes up.

Tip

This search checks the nominator’s contact details, not the nominee’s name. To find a nomination by the person or organization nominated, search nominees instead, then open the nominee record’s Nominations tab.

Search an Award's Nominees

  1. Go to Awards › <award name> › Nominees.
  2. Use the same kind of criteria to search for the candidate: Name:, City:, State:, Country:, Job Title:, and Email Address:, plus Nomination Date: and ID:.
  3. Select a result’s date or name to open the full nominee record.

Warning

Both headline tiles on this page are labeled Nominees, but the second tile shows the award’s nomination count, not another nominee total. If the two numbers are different from what you expected, that label is why.

Review a Nomination

Result

A nomination’s full record shows the nominator’s contact summary and organization, a link to the nominee, the process it came through, the nominee type, recipient categories, internal notes, and any custom field answers.

Warning

The date at the top of a nomination record is the nominee’s first nomination date, not the date of this specific nomination. For a candidate’s first nomination, the dates usually match. For a later nomination of the same candidate, the date shown here is earlier than the nomination’s own date.

Review Buckets and Rounds route and group award applications for reviewers, so they apply only to applications. You can’t assign nominations to review buckets or move them between buckets, which means nominations can’t be bucketed for review the way applications can.

Review a Nominee

Result

A nominee’s full record shows the candidate’s contact or organization summary, the date they were first nominated, their nominee type, recipient categories, and notes. It also includes four tabs: Nominations for nominations naming this candidate, Applications, Awards, and Custom Fields.

Warning

The Applications tab lists this candidate’s applications for every award they have applied to, not just this award. It opens each application under this award, regardless of which award the application actually belongs to. The Awards tab only shows recipient records for this award.

Find Nominations from an Organization or a Contact's Own Record

  1. Open the organization’s or contact’s record in Rhythm.
  2. On an organization, look for the nominations tab. It lists nominations submitted from that organization, not nominations made about it.
  3. On a contact, the nominations tab lists nominations that contact submitted. Nominations made about that contact appear on their nominee record instead, which you can reach using the steps above.

Tip

If a direct link to a nomination fails with a record-not-found error, you may still be able to reach it indirectly. Search nominees instead, open the matching nominee's record, and look on its Nominations tab. From there, you can open the nomination or delete it if needed.

Move a Nominee Forward as a Recipient

  1. Open the nominee’s full record.
  2. Select Create Award Recipient.

Result

Rhythm opens the recipient form for this award and fills in the candidate for you. Only the candidate carries over; you still choose the recipient category and date, and the nominee’s own categories and notes are not copied.
