Sponsorships gives you five report starting points, each built for a different question about applications, sponsorships, and their benefits. Choose the starting point based on what one row should represent, so you do not build the right report from the wrong set of rows.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- You need access to the Query Center to build and run a report. If you cannot open it, ask your administrator.
Choose a Starting Point
- Open the Query Center from the Sponsorship Console.
- Choose the starting point that matches what you want one row of your report to represent.
| Starting point | One row represents | Use it to report on |
|---|---|---|
| Applications | One sponsorship application, including the applicant's organization, contact, and order | Requests that are still open, drafted, or otherwise tracked at the application level |
| Application Opportunities | One opportunity selected on a sponsorship application | Which opportunities sponsors are requesting, whether or not they have been approved |
| Application Opportunity Benefits | One optional benefit a sponsor selected for one opportunity on one application | What sponsors are asking for at the benefit level before checkout |
| Sponsorships | One sponsorship, including its event, organization, contact, and order | Sponsorships that have already been sold or recorded, whether they came from checkout, an approval, or manual entry |
| Sponsorship Benefits | One benefit attached to a sponsorship | What sponsors currently hold, broken out by individual benefit |
Tip
If you are comparing what has sold with what is still open, start with Sponsorships for sold items and Applications for items that have not yet become sponsorships. The two starting points are not interchangeable, because an application does not become a sponsorship until it is fulfilled or approved.
Build and Run the Report
After you choose a starting point, you build, filter, and run the report the same way you run any other query in Rhythm. See Design and Run a Query for how to add filters, choose columns, and run the result, and Reports and Saved Searches Explained if you want to save and reuse what you build.
Warning
The Application Opportunity Benefits and Sponsorship Benefits starting points do not include the opportunity's name in their default columns. A report built from either starting point can list benefits without showing which opportunity they belong to, so add the opportunity as a column if you need that context.
Every report you run this way includes only records from your Rhythm account, so you do not need to filter by organization or account to keep the results scoped correctly.
