Before you change or retire an opportunity, check who has already bought it. You can review which sponsors bought the opportunity and, when it includes optional benefits, which sponsors hold a specific benefit. This helps you avoid changing or removing something a current sponsor still needs.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- You need access to view opportunities in the Console.
See Every Sponsorship Sold for an Opportunity
- Go to Sponsorship & Benefits › Opportunities, search for the opportunity by name, and open it.
- Select the Sponsorships tab.
Result
The tab lists the sponsorships sold for this opportunity.
Warning
This tab shows only the first page of sponsorships. If the opportunity has many sponsors, the list may leave out some of the earliest or most recent sponsorships, depending on how it is sorted. If you need a complete list for an opportunity with heavy sales, run a report instead; see Start a Report from a Sponsorship Starting Point.
See Who Holds a Particular Optional Benefit
Opportunities can include optional benefits that sponsors choose when they apply. To see which sponsorships currently hold one of those benefits:
- Open the opportunity using the steps above, and select the Benefits tab.
- Under Optional Benefit Groups, select the name of the benefit you want to check.
Result
A dialog titled [benefit name] Assigned Sponsors opens. It lists the sponsor organization, quantity, date, and amount for every sponsorship that holds the benefit. Select a sponsor's name to open that sponsorship's page, or select Close to return to the opportunity.
Tip
Only optional benefits open this dialog. A benefit under Included Benefits is not a link because every sponsor of the opportunity receives an included benefit by default, unless someone edited an individual sponsorship to remove it.
Warning
This dialog searches only the same first page of sponsorships already loaded on the opportunity's page. A sponsor further down the list may not appear here, even if they hold the benefit. If a benefit was deleted and later re-created with the same name, a sponsorship that received the original benefit may not match the new one because Rhythm matches the benefit by its own identity, not by name.
Warning
Sponsorship and Sponsorship and Benefits application queries do not currently expose the purchased product field or a sponsor's selected optional benefit details as query columns, even when the opportunity includes optional benefit group items such as selectable weeks. Use the opportunity's Benefits tab and the assigned-sponsors dialog above to see who holds a specific benefit; you can't build that list from a query today.
A Quicker Check Before You Act
If you only need a rough sense of how much an opportunity has sold, the opportunity's page shows a sold count. When the opportunity has a capacity, it also shows how many are still available. Treat that figure as a helpful summary, not a substitute for the Sponsorships tab when you need to know exactly who a change affects.
