When you open Certifications, the Overview page shows three large numbers and a chart so you can quickly check your certification program’s health.

What the Overview Shows

  1. Go to Certifications › Overview.

Result

You see three tiles: Active Certifications, Open Applications, and Upcoming Course Registrations. Below the tiles, the Certificants by Program pie chart shows every certification your association has issued, grouped by program.

Each tile counts a specific set of records:

  • Active Certifications counts certification records with an active status.
  • Open Applications counts applications that are missing requirements or waiting for approval.
  • Upcoming Course Registrations counts registrations for courses that have not happened yet, excluding drafts and cancelled registrations.

The pie chart counts every certification, regardless of status, and groups those certifications by program.

Why a Number Looks Stale

Tip

The three tiles reuse a saved count for up to one day instead of recalculating each time you open the page. If you or a colleague changed records recently, the tile may not show those changes yet.

To get a fresh count, hover over the tile and choose its refresh icon. The chart recalculates every time you visit the page, so you do not need to refresh it manually.

If a Count Is Still Running or Failed

Rhythm shows the tile’s loading indicator, with no number or error message, while the count is still running or has failed. If a tile never stops loading, try the refresh icon; if that does not help, contact Support.

Open the Records Behind a Number

  1. Choose the number on a tile, or choose its loading indicator while it spins.

Result

Rhythm opens the query center with a prepared question, runs it, and shows the records behind that tile.

Tip

The list behind a tile is calculated separately from the tile’s number, so they do not always match exactly. Use the list as a starting point for finding the records you need, not as a guaranteed exact match to the count.

Tip

The query center should name a drill-down after the KPI you clicked. For example, if you open the Suspended Certifications tile, the query should use that name. If a drill-down opens with a label that does not match the tile you clicked, check the criteria and results. If they match what you expected from that tile, trust them over the label and treat the mismatched name as a display issue, not evidence that Rhythm pulled the wrong records.

The pie chart slices are not clickable, so you cannot drill down from the chart itself. To review certifications by program in more detail, use the query center directly.

Print or Export the Chart

Use the chart’s context menu in the top right to view it full screen, print it, or download it as a PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG file.

If Something Goes Wrong

What you see What it means and what to do
A tile keeps showing its loading indicator and never shows a number The count has not finished, or it failed. Try the tile’s refresh icon; if it still does not resolve, contact Support.
The chart shows Loading... indefinitely The count behind the chart failed or has not returned. Reload the page; if it still does not load, contact Support.
Opening a tile's number takes you to an empty or unexpected list The tile's number and its drill-down list are calculated by separate rules and can disagree. Use the query center to build a more precise question if you need an exact match.
A number seems out of date The tile may be showing a count saved earlier today. Use the refresh icon to force a fresh count.
