The Billing overview helps you find billing runs that you or a colleague created. You can also open a certification or application to see which billing runs have already acted on it.

When to Use This

Use this task when you need to find a billing run by name, status, work type, date, or ID. You can also use it to confirm whether a billing run has already acted on a specific certification or application.

Prerequisites

  • Permission to work with billing runs.

Search for a Billing Run

  1. Go to Certifications › Billing.
  2. Enter any combination of Name:, Run Date:, Status:, Operations:, or ID:, then select Search. Leave every field blank to return every run.
  3. Select a result's name to open its page.

Result

Matching runs appear with their name, status, and run date. If a run has not executed yet, Rhythm shows its scheduled run date instead, or leaves the date blank when neither date is set.

Tip

The Recently Viewed Billing Runs panel beside the search form lists runs you opened recently, so you can return to one without searching again.

Warning

Filtering by Operations: may not narrow results as expected. The list includes an action that Certifications billing runs cannot perform, omits Forecast Renewals, and has not been confirmed to match runs reliably against their actual actions. If an Operations search returns unexpected results, search by name or run date instead.

Use Status: to filter for a lifecycle stage, such as Scheduled, Ready for Execution, or Completed. Use ID: when you already know the specific run's ID. Every field is optional, and you can combine as many fields as you need. Rhythm treats each completed field as another condition the run must match.

Tip

A billing run can sometimes keep showing Running in the Console after its underlying actions have finished successfully. Check that every action's report target has been processed. If it has, treat the run as complete even though the status label has not caught up. If several occurrences of the same recurring schedule keep showing Running this way, recreating that recurring schedule as a new one has been a useful next step to see whether the behavior clears up.

See a Run's History on a Certification or Application

Instead of searching billing runs directly, open a specific record to see which runs have already acted on it:

  • On a certification's Certification 360 page, the Billing tab lists every billing-run action recorded against that certification, including the run's name, date, action, and outcome.
  • On an application's Application 360 page, the Billing tab shows the same details for that application.

Warning

A training-provider invoicing action does not appear in either list. That action bills a training provider rather than an individual certification or application, so Rhythm records it against the provider instead of the record it billed.

Finding the Runs a Recurring Billing Run Created

Rhythm links each recurring billing run to every individual run it creates, including runs created by cloning one of those runs. There is currently no Console page that lists a recurring run's created runs directly. From the Billing overview, the closest approach is to search by name, since recurring runs commonly reuse a recognizable name, and by run date.
