Your school's Accreditation Profile in the Portal gives you a quick view of your accreditation standing. If your association allows self-service updates, you can also correct accreditation details from the same page.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- Your contact must be linked to an organization, and that organization must have an accreditation record. If either one is missing, the profile shows a message instead of your accreditation standing.
- You can update accreditation information from the Portal only when your association has turned on that option for your account. Otherwise, you can view your accreditation but cannot change it.
- If your school holds accreditations in more than one program, this profile shows only the first one listed for your account. You cannot switch between multiple accreditations here.
View Your School's Accreditation
- Open your school's Accreditation Profile in the Portal.
Result
You see your accreditation's current phase, expiration, status, the first page of your visits, and the first page of your reports. If your organization has no accreditation record, the profile shows a message instead.
You only see your own organization's accreditation here. You cannot browse to another school's record from this page, and direct requests for another school's record are refused.
Tip
If the profile stays on the loading message and never shows your standing, reload the page. A failed load does not show its own error message; it stays on the loading text until you try again.
Update Your Accreditation Information
- On the Accreditation Profile, select the update option.
- Fill in the form your association configured for this update, using the page layout it chose.
- Save.
Result
Your changes are saved to the accreditation record.
Warning
The update option appears only when your association has turned it on. If you do not see it, your association has not enabled self-service updates for schools; it does not necessarily mean there is an issue with your permissions. Contact the accrediting body if you need something on the record corrected.
