Before you fill in an evaluation, the evaluation flow shows the colleagues from the visit team who can be offered to you. Each person is marked to show whether you still need to evaluate them, have already submitted an evaluation for them, or are not allowed to evaluate them. This article explains what that list means. To submit an evaluation, see Evaluate a Colleague After a Visit.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- You need to be on the visit's team. If you are not, the evaluation flow will not load a list for you.
- You need at least one role on the team. If you do not have a role, you will not see any colleagues to evaluate, and Rhythm will not show an explanation. The response comes back empty instead of showing an error.
Reading the List
When you open Submit Evaluation for a visit, and more than one colleague qualifies, you see everyone else on the team before you choose whom to evaluate:
- A colleague you can evaluate and haven't yet appears as a plain, selectable item.
- A colleague you've already evaluated appears disabled and marked to show that you have submitted an evaluation for them.
- A colleague you aren't allowed to evaluate appears disabled and marked as ineligible.
You do not see yourself on this list.
Tip
The "already evaluated" status uses the date on your evaluation record for that person. Staff can edit that date later, so it is not a separate, locked record of the exact time you submitted the evaluation.
How Eligibility Is Decided
Your association’s rules for the visit’s evaluation process decide whether you can evaluate a colleague and which form you use. Those rules are based on the role you hold on the team:
- a rule can allow any team member, restrict it to specific roles, allow all roles except some, or be turned off entirely;
- the first rule that applies to a role you hold decides both whether you can evaluate that colleague and which form you use.
A colleague’s response status does not affect whether they are offered for evaluation. They may have accepted their place on the team, declined it, or never answered; Rhythm still uses the role rules to decide whether you can evaluate them.
Warning
Rhythm does not re-check the visit’s evaluation window at this step. The window only controls whether the Submit Evaluation button appears on the visit’s page in the first place.
Why You Might See Nobody to Evaluate at All
If the list shows nothing outstanding, it means one of two things, and the list itself does not tell you which one applies:
- you have already evaluated everyone you are eligible to evaluate, or
- you hold no role on the team, so nobody is offered.
If you believe you should have colleagues to evaluate and do not see any, check with the accrediting body about which role you hold on this visit's team.
