The Sponsorship & Benefits Overview page, at Sponsorship & Benefits › Overview, is the first page you see when you open the Sponsorship Console. Depending on how reporting is set up for your Rhythm account, you may see a configurable dashboard instead of the built-in figures described here. In some accounts, you can select Customize on that page to build and save your own dashboard, so those figures depend on how the dashboard was built. This article explains the built-in figures: what each one counts, why a total can be up to a day old, and why it might not match a report you run yourself.

What Each Figure Counts

  • Sponsorships (last 12 months) — count. Counts sponsorships dated after the day 12 months before today. A sponsorship dated exactly 12 months ago is not included because this figure only counts sponsorships dated after that day.
  • Sponsorships (last 12 months) — amount. Adds the dollar amounts for those same sponsorships. A sponsorship with no amount adds nothing to the total.
  • Applications (under review). Counts applications that currently have at least one requested opportunity waiting for review. This figure counts applications, not opportunities, so an application with three requested opportunities under review still counts as one application. That matches the way the application's own under-review flag works.

Why a Total Can Be Up to a Day Old

Rhythm does not calculate these figures when you open the page. It reuses a previously calculated figure for up to a full day before recalculating it, so the number you see can be up to a day behind your current records. When you want a fresh number, use the small recalculate control on that specific figure instead of waiting.

Why a Total Might Not Match a Report

When you select one of these figures, Rhythm opens a query built from the same criteria as the tile, so you can review the records behind the total. The query count may differ slightly from the tile because the tile uses a cached figure that can be up to a day old, while a query you run yourself reflects your records at that moment. If you need an exact, up-to-the-minute number instead of a quick dashboard check, run a fresh query or report.

Tip

If a dashboard total looks stale, try the recalculate control on that specific tile before assuming something is broken. The cached value is the most common reason a total does not match what you expect.

Each figure is cached independently, so one tile may show a freshly recalculated number while another tile on the same page still shows yesterday's value. If every figure on the page needs to reflect the same moment in time, recalculate each tile individually instead of assuming one page refresh updates them all together.

Negative availability on an opportunity, such as -1, means the opportunity has been oversold. The sold count is higher than the available quantity by that number, so -1 means one more was sold than was available.

Some widgets on a configurable dashboard — Inventory Sell-Through, Sold vs Available by Opportunity, and Revenue by Category — depend on your account's sponsorship opportunity and category data being fully available for reporting. If those widgets appear empty or broken while widgets based only on sponsorships and applications work fine, that is a likely reason. Contact Support if the issue persists.
