If your account email address has not been verified, the portal asks you to verify it before opening a page that requires sign-in.
Why You Are Asked to Verify
When you sign in with an unverified email address, the portal sends you to a verification step instead of the page you tried to open. You can verify your email before a member record is linked, so this can happen during a brand-new sign-in. In some sign-up flows, such as registering through an event microsite, you may be stopped right after creating your account and asked to check your email before continuing registration. This is expected, not an error.
After you sign up successfully, Rhythm normally sends the verification email automatically within a short time. If your welcome or setup steps are what create your portal login, finish that process before expecting a separate verification email. In that path, setup and verification happen in the same sequence, not as two separate actions.
Prerequisites
- You need access to the email account you use for your portal sign-in because Rhythm sends the verification link there.
