If you design your association’s Portal, Accreditation gives you nine ready-made pages and matching blocks in the Portal page designer. This reference explains which pages are available, which ones appear automatically in the Portal’s Accreditations menu, and how block links send members to your own pages.
The Nine Accreditation Pages
| Page | In the Accreditations menu? | Needs a record identifier in its address? |
|---|---|---|
| Accreditation Profile | Yes ("Accreditation Profile") | No |
| My Visiting Team Assignments | Yes ("My Visiting Teams") | No |
| My Reports | Yes ("Reports") | No |
| Team Candidates | Yes ("Team Candidates") | No |
| View Report | No | Yes |
| View Visit | No | Yes |
| Submit Evaluation | No | Yes |
| Submit Report | No | No; it uses the member’s linked school |
| Update Profile | No | No; it uses the member’s linked school |
All nine pages require a signed-in member, so members must sign in to the Portal before they can open them. After your Rhythm account installs the Accreditation portal feature, each page already includes its matching block, so you do not need to add the block to the generated page before it works.
The four menu pages are the same for every Rhythm account, and they do not need a record named in the address. When a signed-in member opens one of these pages, Accreditation uses the school linked to that member. The five pages outside the menu open only from another link, such as a button on one of the menu pages or a notice email. View Report, View Visit, and Submit Evaluation need a report, visit, or visit identifier in the address; without that identifier, the page has nothing to show.
Warning
Seeing the My Visiting Team Assignments page does not, by itself, guarantee that a member can see a specific visit’s details. Support has also described members who were assigned to a visit’s team, but whose own organization had no accreditation record; they saw a "your organization does not have an accreditation record" message instead of their assignments. Similarly, viewing a specific visit through View Visit has been described as requiring the member to be a team member on that visit and associated with an accredited organization of their own — not necessarily the one being visited.
A signed-in member’s permissions still control what they can do on these pages. With the right permissions, a member can view the accreditation profile, edit it through your configured Accreditations page layout form, view their visiting team assignments, view existing reports, submit new reports when eligible, and view, add, and remove Team Candidates. The Team Candidates page shows each candidate’s Name, Email Address, Title, and Status.
Tip
Because the menu is the same for every account, you can’t add, remove, or rename these four entries yourself. If you want another way into the other five pages, add your own link or button to a page you design, or use the designer blocks below.
The Blocks in the Portal Page Designer
Open a page in the Portal page designer to see the Accreditation blocks. They appear in a category that also includes unrelated Portal features, so look for each block by name instead of relying on the category alone. The nine blocks match the nine pages: Accreditation Profile, View Reports, View Report, Submit Report, My Visiting Team Assignments, View Visit, Submit Evaluation, Team Candidates, and Update Profile.
You can drag each block onto a page, copy it, remove it, and style it like any other block, but you cannot place another block inside it. While you design the page, a placed block shows a placeholder instead of a live preview. To see what a signed-in member actually sees, view the page in your live account or your sandbox.
Tip
There is no preset starter layout for how a report displays through the View Report page or block. Plan to design its layout yourself once you know which merge fields and information you want to show; more advanced presentation can call for design help beyond what the block offers out of the box.
Pointing a Block’s Links at Your Own Pages
Some blocks include a setting for where their links go, which keeps members on your own page layout instead of sending them to a fixed address. Only some of those settings actually change the links:
| Block | Setting offered | What it actually changes |
|---|---|---|
| Accreditation Profile | Route (View Visit) | Its "view visit" links follow the setting; its report links cannot be redirected from this block |
| View Reports | Route (View Visit) | Nothing; the setting has no effect on this block |
| View Report | Route (View Visit) | Its "view visit" links follow the setting |
| My Visiting Team Assignments | Route (View Visit) | Its "view visit" links follow the setting |
| View Visit, Submit Report, Submit Evaluation, Team Candidates, Update Profile | None | Not applicable; these blocks do not offer a link setting |
Warning
The page designer does not check whether a Route setting points to a real page. The "Route (View Visit)" setting on the View Reports block has no effect, even though the setting appears. Test every page that uses these blocks in your live account or your sandbox before you rely on it.
When No Setting Is Filled In
When a block has no working setting for a link, or when you leave the setting blank, its links use the standard Accreditation Portal addresses, such as the profile page, the reports list, or a specific report or visit. If you place a page, such as your profile page or reports list, at a different address than the standard one, links that always use the fixed address still point to the standard address. These include "Back to School Profile" from Team Candidates and the Accreditation Profile’s own update button. Anyone who follows one of those links reaches a page that may not exist on your Portal.
Tip
If a link from an Accreditation page or block goes to the wrong place, or to a page that does not exist, check whether that specific link can be redirected with a setting. If it cannot, it always uses the standard address.
