  • Control Who Can Access and Act in Membership

Give staff one of Membership's four ready-made roles, and decide which contact roles at a member organization may sign it up, renew it, update it, or set up its automatic renewal.

  • Add-Ons, Their Types, and Prices

Group optional extras into add-on types, create an add-on members can hold once or in multiples, restrict who can buy it, and price it for one membership package or every package.

  • Configure Directory Listing Options for Members

Choose which fields members may hide from directories, and add a directory-options step to a membership application form so applicants choose how they appear as soon as they join.

  • Membership Forms, ID Cards, and Certificates

Set the default forms staff and members use for a membership record, turn on printable ID cards, choose how membership certificates are produced, and run your own logic when Rhythm builds someone's first application.

  • Group Application Processes

Create and manage the rule sets a group of applicants follows when one person applies for several people at once, including who may run a group, what it can apply for, and its instructions, confirmation email, and checkout.

  • Application Processes, Forms, and Status Reasons

Create the application processes people use to join, renew, reinstate, or change affiliation, design the form each one presents, and maintain the status reasons staff choose from.

  • Membership Terms and Renewal Rules

Set the reinstatement period and its pricing, decide whether a late payment advances a membership's expiration from the payment date, choose which membership wins when a contact has two, and turn on group membership applications.

  • Membership Types

Define each kind of membership your account sells, for individuals or organizations, including automatic flowdown, section requirements, page layouts, and Portal visibility, and how to reorder, retire, or delete a type.

  • Chapters, Sections, and Add-Ons

Turn on chapters, sections, and add-ons, name them the way your association does, decide how members join a chapter, and choose how chapter, section, and add-on dues appear on an order.

  • Chapter Types

Define the categories chapters are grouped under, limit a chapter type to certain membership types, and deactivate or delete a type you no longer need.

  • Chapter Suggestion Strategy and Assignment Mappings

Choose whether Rhythm suggests a chapter to applicants by distance, by assignment mapping rules, or by custom logic, and build the ordered rules that route an address to a chapter.

  • Chapter Dues Products

Set what it costs to join a chapter, price it for one membership package or as a catch-all for every package, prorate it by month, and retire or delete a dues product you no longer need.

  • Chapter and Section Dues Product Queries

Use the Chapter Dues Products and Section Dues Products query types to see what each chapter or section currently charges, and where a chapter's dues revenue is booked.

  • Add a Member Directory to a Portal Page

Place the Membership Directory block on a Portal page so members and visitors can search it, and know what happens when the page does not name a directory.

  • Chapter Officer Permissions and Chapter Center Pages

Turn on Chapter Center access for chapter officers, decide which committee positions can do which tasks there, and replace the Chapter Center's pages with your own design.

  • Change Fees

Create the priced product Rhythm charges a member who changes chapters, sections, or add-ons partway through a term, and see why an in-use change fee cannot be deleted.

  • Count Flowdown Memberships in Membership Figures

What the flowdown-counting choice changes on the Membership overview, why Rhythm sets it for you instead of a Console switch, and the dashboard figures it is known to break.

  • Coupons

Create, review, change, and retire membership coupons; choose what a coupon discounts and for whom, cap its discount, and limit how many chapter or section dues lines it can reduce.

  • Billing Templates, Notices, and Recurring Runs

Build the reusable pieces a billing run draws on, the email notices it sends, and the schedules that create and pre-process runs automatically, without rebuilding a run from scratch every cycle.

  • Directory and Self-Service Settings for Members

Let members hide chosen directory fields, decide whether they can change their own directory listing or auto-renewal in the Portal, let committee members manage their own documents, and write a custom message for people with no application to start.

  • Membership Settings: How Saving and Setup Work

The one account-wide Membership settings record, the Setup overview checklist that leads you through configuring it, and what every save requires and protects, including the business unit and merchant account.

  • Section Dues Products

Set what joining a section costs, either for one membership package or as a catch-all for every package without its own price, with an optional discount for people who join partway through the year.

  • Section Types

Section types group the sections members can join, decide what members see when choosing them in the online application, and can restrict a whole group of sections to certain membership types.

  • Sections

Sections are special-interest groups members can join alongside their membership.

  • Membership Status Reasons, ID Card Templates, and Preview Tools

Define the reasons a membership can be in a given status, create and maintain your ID card designs, and preview what an email, certificate, or ID card will look like before it goes out.

  • Configure the Embedded Membership Dashboard

Open the builder for your account's own embedded Membership dashboard from the Console landing page, once Rhythm has turned the feature on and a dashboard is configured.
