Rhythm's Finance & Billing training includes two hands-on courses: FIN-103, "Using Finance & Billing," and FIN-201, "Configuring Finance & Billing." In each course, you complete exercises such as creating an invoice or setting up a G/L account. Use this page to confirm that you finished an exercise when the course asks for a completion code.
When to Use This
Use this after you complete a training exercise and the course asks you for a completion code.
Prerequisites
- A sandbox or Rhythm account where you've completed the exercise's steps.
Get a Completion Code
- Go to the address your course material gives you for training exercises.
- Select the course and exercise you completed from Select Course & Exercise:.
- Select Get Completion Code.
Result
If Rhythm finds the records the exercise expects in your account, it shows a completion code and copies it to your clipboard so you can paste it into the course. If Rhythm does not find them, it tells you what is missing, such as a $115 invoice in a specific training batch.
Tip
Rhythm remembers your last chosen exercise in your browser. If you come back to check another exercise, your previous choice stays selected until you pick a new one.
What a Completion Code Actually Checks
A completion code only proves that certain records exist with the right identifiers and values. It does not know who created them, and every Rhythm account gets the same code for the same exercise. If your check fails, the message names what Rhythm looked for but could not find, such as an open batch with a specific name, an invoice for a specific amount, or a G/L account with a specific identifier. Fix that part of the exercise, then try again.
What Each Course Covers
- FIN-103 — Using Finance & Billing. These exercises cover day-to-day work: creating a batch, creating an invoice, receiving a payment, refunding a payment, issuing a credit, and using a credit you've issued.
- FIN-201 — Configuring Finance & Billing. These exercises cover setup: creating a business unit, a G/L account, an accounting project, and a merchant account; setting up a recurring batch and its batch assignment settings; and creating a miscellaneous product with its pricing and financial setup.
Tip
If a FIN-201 exercise check fails on a setting you're sure you configured, read the message carefully. A schedule set up to mean the same thing but written differently still fails the check because Rhythm looks for an exact match.
