Rhythm's CRM training courses let staff and administrators practice by doing real CRM work. You might create a specific practice contact, build a custom field, design a 360 screen, or complete another task from your course. Each exercise gives you a completion code only after Rhythm confirms that the data in your account matches the exercise instructions.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- A course to follow, including which exercise to complete and what data to enter.
- Access to your account, whether that is a training account or your own account, depending on your course.
- The exercise's target data entered exactly as your course describes it. This page can tell you whether the data is right, but it cannot tell you what to enter.
Getting a Completion Code
- Complete the exercise your course describes, such as creating a contact with specific name, address, and phone details, or building a custom field with a specific name and type.
- Go to the training exercises page at
/training. This is a direct address, and it does not appear in the menu. - Under Select Course & Exercise:, search for and choose the exercise you just completed. Exercises are grouped by course.
- Select Get Completion Code.
Result
When the data in your account matches what the exercise checks, a green message shows your completion code and copies it to your clipboard. Give that code back to your course to show that you finished the exercise.
If You Don't Get a Code
When your data does not match, a red message explains exactly what is wrong. For example, it may name the contact and field that did not match the expected value, such as a misspelled nickname or a missing address line. Fix the data in your account, then select Get Completion Code again. You can try as many times as you need.
Tip
The message tells you exactly which field is wrong on which record. Read it closely, because exercises often check small details that are easy to enter differently than requested, such as the exact spelling of a nickname or the second line of an address.
What the Exercises Check
Each exercise checks the current data in your account and confirms specific details. These examples show how exact the checks are:
- The CRM 101 contact creation exercise looks for a contact with a specific email address, then checks that contact's first name, last name, nickname, suffix, and work address line by line.
- Each CRM 201 custom field exercise looks for a contact custom field with a specific name and checks that its type, such as single-line text, checkboxes, or currency, matches the instructions. For choice fields, it checks the options too.
- The CRM 201 contact 360 screen exercise looks for a 360 screen with an exact name and checks that specific fields were placed in specific building blocks.
- The CRM 201 contact form exercise only checks that a web form exists with the exact name requested. It does not check what the form contains.
- The CRM 201 contact role compliance exercise checks a contact role, an organization type's compliance rule, and a specific organization's compliance status together as a complete chain.
Because each exercise checks real data in your account, an exercise can fail for something unrelated to the step you just completed. For example, an exercise can fail if practice data from an earlier exercise was later changed or removed.

Training exercises use the same screens and rules you use in everyday CRM work.
